Marguerite Horay

Marguerite Horay is a Belgian visual artist born in Brussels in 1981. She obtained an BA in Digital Arts from ENSAV Brussels in 2007 and an MA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent 2011. Her practice is multimedia based and blends graphic design, illustration, gifs, collages and video.
Her visual narratives are strongly and directly influenced by paintings and more especially the surrealism movement. Working on her collages with a wide base of painting’s reproduction or digital manipulation of vintage photographs she reaches different kinds of textures and finish and obtains a final result at the crossroads of illustration, photography and painting. She mainly works on deconstructed and abstract landscapes.
She’s been exhibited in art fairs and festivals such as Unseen in Amsterdam or Circulation(s) in Paris and her work has been featured internationally online and in print .
